As requested I have one nice red hued version of this theme. A purple one will follow in a few dayss so stay tuned. The red version can be seen in action at Brad The Blogboy.

While checking to make sure all of Jane’s suggested changes could be easily made by anyone with simple coding skills I came up with another version of this theme, The Jane Edition. Enjoy!

A nice red or purple theme would be cool. There just are enough of those out there.

Nice looking theme. However you may want to tinker with either the font colour or the background colour of the alternating comments as I can’t read Katy’s response to you.

It’s okay. Not everyone uses the “more” tag though, and I prefer themes that leave tags, author, and comment button at bottom. There’s way too much space wasted between the top of the page and where the first line of the story begins.
Also, most of us use custom headers. It would be more difficult with this theme, because we’d have to move the search & other buttons, and shrink the header space — again, too much wasted real estate.
Very good typography, though.
I would take issue with the notion that having lots of white space is wasted space, but I would also say anyone who can change their header images either on the style sheet or header php and knows how to eliminate the more tag from the_content() ought to have absolutely no trouble doing so here. In fact I made all of your requested changes including moving the search box and header images, the post meta information, and all the css changes in less time than it took to drink a cup of coffee this morning.
In light of making sure those things could be done easily enough I have also saved the files and uploaded the changed theme for your downloading pleasure. See above.
